(L-R) Raleigh Campbell (shot), Jenna Wilson (discus) and Will Jones (high jump) won regional championships during the opening night of the Regional track meet at Whitley County Tuesday night. Five other field events and all running event championships will be up for grabs Wednesday. The winner and runner-up in each event will advance on to the Kentucky State Track meet next week in Lexington

Five members of the Clay County track team earned berths in the State Track meet with performances at the Regional Track Meet at Whitley County. Will Jones won the high jump regional title, Katie Smallwood took the 110 hurdles. Jenna Wilson and Raleigh Campbell won regional championships in both the discus and shot put. Wilson also qualified for the state meet with a second place in the long jump. Shanda Copeland qualified with a second place finish in the shot put.

Fish Fry!
The Clay County Track Team will host a fish fry Thursday June 1 at the Manchester Square Shopping Center (old Hardees location) beginning at 11 AM!

Five members of the Clay County Track team will compete in the state track meet Friday and Saturday - Will Jones, high jump - Katie Smallwood, 110 hurdles - Jenna Wilson, discus, shot put and long jump - Raleigh Campbell, discus and shot put - Shanda Copeland, shot put - the meet begins at 5 PM each evening at Dunbar High School in Lexingon
