Della Mae Marcum, age 87 departed this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was born on Friday, March 6, 1931 in Manchester, Kentucky to James and Martha Hacker Webb. She was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church and worked for the Clay County Board of Education as a lunch room supervisor.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Pamela Marcum, James Marcum and Peggy Grubb, her grandchildren: Misty Marcum, Leslie Grubb, and James Grubb, her great grandchildren: Kyra Pelstring, Dakota Grubb, Seth Grubb, Emma Grubb, Jacqueline Grubb, Joceline Grubb, and Jasmine Grubb as well as her sisters: Ella Marcum and Audrey Day.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Ted Marcum, her parents: James and Martha Webb, her brother: Luther Webb, her sisters: Eula Howard and Beulah Campbell and her twin great granddaughters: Christina and Katrine Grubb.

Anna Jean Dearth, 80, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 23, 2018. She was born on May 15, 1938 to the late Gilbert and Lillian Roberts. Anna moved here in March 1977 after her husband of over 60 years James retired from the Air Force. She was very protective of her family and loved each one of them dearly, especially her grandchildren. Anna was an avid Kentucky Wildcat Basketball fan. In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her brother Vernon Roberts and sister: Willia Mae Curry. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of more than 60 years, James S. Dearth; sons: James G. Dearth (Teresa) and Randy Dearth; daughter Melissa Price (Jim); sisters: Roble Miller, Bernice Brown (Terry) of Manchester, KY; grandchildren: Ashley Curtis (Jeremy), Angela Harrison (Jay), Barry Semak, Nicole Holmes (Matt); great grandchildren: Alexis and Grant Curtis, Landon and Emma Harrison, and three more due in 2019. The family will receive friends on Thursday November 29, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN. He worked for the United States Forest Service, an avid guitar player that had a great love for music and singing and was a woodworking craftsman extraordinaire. He was a retired businessman and co-owner and operator of White Chevrolet, he was a member of the Manchester Baptist Church, former Mayor of Manchester where he served for 28 years as well as a United States Army Veteran where he served during the Korean Conflict. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Gail Cornett White, his daughters: Pam Ryser and her husband Bo and Karen Lea Grubb and her husband Butch, his sons: Daugh Kennon White, II and his wife Wanda and Joseph Cornett White and his wife Beth. He was born on Saturday, February 4, 1950 to the union of Rev. Leonard and Dora Bowling Hacker. He was a truck driver and a member of the Pentecostal faith.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife: Kathy Hibbard Hacker, his son: Jeremy Leonard Hacker and his wife Sabrina, his grandchildren: Thomas Smith, Holly Hacker and Hudson Hacker. Mr. Carl Edward “Crawdad” Sizemore was born on Monday, March 25th, 1940 in Beverly, Kentucky to the union of Brack and Alma Bowling Sizemore. He departed this life on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 12 days. Carl was a lifelong resident of Clay County. He loved Clay County and the people he proudly served as County Judge Executive for 16 years as well as those he worked with and for at the City of Manchester, the Manchester Municipal Water Works for 18 years and was instrumental in many projects including the FCI Manchester, the Carl “Crawdad” Sizemore Community Building, the Clay County Ambulance Service as well as new water lines, he was involved with the beginnings of Rawlings-Stinson Park as other endeavors. Carl enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching sports, especially UK basketball. He also enjoyed his pets who he regularly took on road trips. His greatest pride and joy in life came from his family and spending time with them, especially watching his grandchildren grow up. He enjoyed visiting and talking with friends and was generous beyond measure. He often thought of others before himself. He enjoyed spending time at the Red Bird Mission Community Store with the ladies who became beloved friends. He was saved and dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in 2013 and truly cherished the time spent with his Sizerock Baptist Church family. Those of us who knew and loved Carl will be forever thankful for his life and all he gave. His love, generosity, personality and kindness will be missed beyond measure. Carl was preceded in death by his parents: Brack and Alma Sizemore, a host of aunts and uncles and two cousins that were as brothers to him: Taylor Bowling and Billy Bowling. Mr. Gordon Lee Reed, age 62 of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on Wednesday, July 4, 1956 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Paul and Ruby Good Reed. He was self-employed as a master plumber, retired from the Wiser Oil Company and a member of the Church of God Worship Center. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife: Bonnie Hellard Reed , his daughter: Janet Reed-Osborne and her husband Roger Lee of London and his step-son: Jordan Scott Kirby and his wife Crystal of London. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Olivia Osborne, Beckham Osborne and Grayson Scott Kirby as well as his mother: Ruby Reed and his brother: Terry Reed and his wife Tracy of London. Preceding him in death are his grandparents: Merlin and Esther Good and Squire and Hallie Reed, his father: Paul Reed, his grandson: Keaton Lee Osborne and a very special Uncle Squire Junior Reed. She spent over 33 years teaching school, was a member of the Fogertown Christian Missionary Alliance Church and taught Sunday School for over 50 years as well as being active in the Burning Springs Homemakers and volunteered in the Camp Wildcat Civil War Reenactment. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband of over 59 years: Herbert Westerfield, her loving daughter: Juanita Westerfield Branstutter and her husband Bill.
