'Fear Les' 13th Region RatingsBoys Top 5 On the boys' side, we have South Laurel remaining as the top team, while Dinky Phipps' Barbourville Tigers at the No. 2 position. To be honest, The No. 3 spot down to No. 10 is anybody's guess. Clay County remains atop the girls' rating, while Jennifer Parsons' Corbin Lady Redhounds are lurking behind at the No. 2 spot. 1. South Laurel (15-2) 2. Barbourville (10-2) 3. North Laurel (7-6) Oh well, North Laurel stays here for another week and we could see a change when the Jaguars travel to Clay County on Jan. 20. 4. What's the scoop: The Tigers are 10-3 and have won four in a row and six of their last seven games. Is Clay County starting to get on a roll? Could be.
Surprise, surprise: If the Tigers are going to be successful in the district and region tournaments, then Glenn Gray's squad must continue to play defense. Clay County is allowing 56 points a game and has outscored its opponents 804-736.
