Opening Day!

Clay VS Evarts!

Congratulations to Coach Jamie Gilbert and The Lady Tigers fast-pitch softball team!!

The Lady Tigers were in action against Evarts High School and came away their opening day game victory, with a score of 14-3. Pitcher, Jayme Gilbert, got her first win of the 2006 season.. She is now 1-0 for the season.
The J.V. team also won by a score of 13-3 in the third inning. Pitcher Bethanni Herron received her first win of the season as well. Relief pitcher Brittany Napier in the second inning and Curssy Smith in the third and final inning.

Scoring for The Lady Tigers are as follows:

Daniel “Fish” Fisher (catcher) come away with a 1 double, 1 walk and 1 Home run with a total of 3 rbi’s.
Brittany Napier (center field) 1 double,1 walk and 2 rbi’s (varsity) 1
Bethany Murray (first base) 1 walk
Bethanni Herron (right field) 1 single
Sarah Parton (second base) 2 walks and a single
Brittney Combs (third base) 2 singles and 1 rbi
Jaymie “Skooly” Gilbert (pitcher) the wining pitcher with 2 singles and 3 rbi’s to add to her cause.
Mariah Aubrey (short stop) 1 double,1 walk and 1 single
Chastity Lewis (left field) 1 single and 1 walk

Clay County Lady Tigers are now 1-0 for the season.

Their next game will on Thursday Mar. 30th against Oneida Baptist Institute at 5:00 pm at home.
