Volunteer Firemen and Bill WarrenThanks to the volunteer firemen for their efforts in the cleaning up of an accident that happend on Monday the 10th on US 421. Bill Warren of Bill Warren's Towing was there working the firemen to remove the vehicle. The vehicle was being driven by Mark Smith, age 40, of Manchester.

Approximately 8:30 pm on Monday, the 10th, Mark Smith, age 40 of Manchester, was driving South on US 421 and lost control of his vehicle approximately 6.3 miles north of Manchester. The officer in charge was Oria M. Smith of Post 11 in London, KY. Officer Smith said that drugs or alcohol were not a factor. Mark Smith was taken to Memorial Hospital for observation but complained of no serious injury. Officer Smith said that had he not been wearing his seatbelt, he may have gone through the windshield.

Bill Warren of Bill Warren's Towing responded to the call of Officer Oria M. Smith on Monday, July 10th to remove a wrecked vehicle from US 421. The vehicle was driven by Mark Smith, age 40. Warren, and his truck, quickly turned the car upright and cleared the way for the other drivers.

The owner of this vehicle, Mark Smith, age 40, of Manchester was glad to have worn seat belt on Monday, the 10th, after losing control of his vehicle on US 421. Smith suffered no serious injuries because he was wearing his seat belt. Buckle Up folks! It's the law!
