Mr. Paul Ray Hubbard, age 56 of Lockards Creek departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 after a battle with cancer. He was born on Thursday, April 7, 1960 in London, Kentucky to the union of Ray and Rena Shepherd Hubbard. He worked for Clay Pipeline.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Tiffany Hubbard and Aiden Hubbard, his grandchildren: Danielle Stewart and Tanner Stewart, and his mother: Rena Hubbard. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters; Doug Hubbard and his wife Becky, Lucy McDaniel and her husband Earl, Judy Smallwood and her husband Ronnie, Wanda Smith and her husband Melvin, Emily Gallaher and her husband Erek, and Peggy Sams and her husband Hansford as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father: Ray Hubbard, and his grandparents: Brice and Lettie Hubbard and Melvin and Eva Shepherd.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Clay County Cancer Coalition.
Funeral Services for Mr. Paul Ray Hubbard will be conducted on Friday, December 30 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve May and Rev. Ronnie Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson-Smith Cemetery in the Lockards Creek Community.

Mr. Joe B. Smith, Jr., age 52 of London, departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on Sunday, April 19, 1964 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of Joe B. Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth Reynolds Smith.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Tabitha Michelle Smith and her wife Kathryn Smith, Joe B. Smith, III, and Kevin Smith and his sisters: Pamela Walden, Bonnie Carpenter and her husband Gary and Josephine Couch. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father: Joe B. Smith, Sr., his mother: Elizabeth Smith, his sister: Ruth Bush and his brother: Bruce Smith.

Mr. John Gillis Whitehead age 86 of Manchester, Kentucky was born on Friday, October 3, 1930 to the late Sam and Viola Whitehead.
John was a faithful member of Morgan Branch Pentecostal Church and Loved God and now is in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. He passed on to Heaven on Monday, January 2, 2017 about 6:45 am in the presence of his family at home. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. He loved being outdoors and was an avid four wheeler and went on many trips with his friends. We know if there are mountains in Heaven he will be exploring them. He was kind to all he met and greeted all as a friend. He will be missed dearly and was loved by all. But we rejoice in the fact that he is celebrating in Heaven now.
He is survived by one son: John Whitehead Jr. (Debbie) of West Palm Beach, Florida. The following step-children Maudie (Alonzo) Smith, Betty Faye (Hezekiah) Hensley, Mona (Ray) Henson and Roy Whitehead of Manchester. Wanda (Donnie) Bowles, Bessie (Larry) Lee and Dennis Henson of Jackson County, Brother Woodard (Reva) Whitehead, of Hazard, KY, Sisters Essie Smith and Hazel (Gil) Vaughn of Manchester and Sudie Alice Bowling of East Bernstadt, Ky. Also Surviving 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and step mother Ester “SIS” Whitehead. His Wife Lula Whitehead and ex-wife Hedy Mae Henson, 4 brothers and 5 sisters, step daughter Joyce Igo, also step sons Cecil Whitehead and Bill Henson.
Funeral Services for Mr. John Gillis Whitehead will be conducted on Saturday, January 7 at 10 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Reid and Rev. Todd Hicks will be officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of over 51 years: Chester Williams and her children: Jerry Williams and wife Regina, Linda Hubbard and husband Phillip, and Matthew Williams and wife Katie. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Joseph Hubbard, Daniel Hubbard, Holly Ray, Amanda Hubbard, Jerrica Williams, Brittany Williams, Tiffany Williams, Don Jacob Smith, James Smith, and Kasie Smith as well as 5 Great Grandchildren and her sister: Joyce Johnson and her brother: Aaron Johnson.

Mr. William Bryan Gregory, 78 of Hima, departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky surrounded by his family. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on Tuesday, September 6, 1938, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Anna (Hibbard) Gregory.
He was preceded in death by his sister: Joyce Sams, her husband Ted and their son: Luther Lynn; his paternal grandparents: Hugh “Bear” and Susan “Sudie” (Lewis) Gregory, and maternal grandparents: William “Billy” and Lucy (Delph) Hibbard.
A beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Bryan was a seventy-five year member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church. He was a 1956 graduate of Clay County High School and attended Eastern Kentucky State College. He had worked as a coal miner, social worker, federal mine inspector, and right of way agent for the Kentucky Department of Transportation. Bryan was also a successful businessman and proudly served in the United States Army, 100th Division.
He is survived by his son: Bryan Scott Gregory and his wife Susie of London. He is also survived by his best friend and former wife: Faye Dobson Gregory of Manchester and a sister: Joanna Hibbard and her husband Hugh of Sandusky, Ohio. Also surviving are step-daughters: LaBerta Webb White and her husband Michael of Manchester and Carmen Webb Lewis of London and the following grandchildren: Nathan White, Bailey Lewis, and Presley Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dobson, Boyce Gregory, Danny Gregory, Quentin Gregory, Sammy Gregory, Will Hibbard, John “Buck” Massey, and James Phillips.

Mrs. Iva Lee Branstutter, age 87 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her home. She was born on Sunday, March 31, 1929 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Lloyd and Sudie Jackson Marcum.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Olan Branstutter, Archie Branstutter and his wife Mary, Wilburn Branstutter and his wife Janet, Willa Mae Williams and her husband Hiram, Bonnie Hicks, and Charlotte Bowling. Also surviving are her sons-in-law: Hobert Bowling and Bobby Joe Grubb, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren and her brothers: Squire Marcum and his wife Ethel and Billy Ray Marcum.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Sudie Marcum, her husband: Benton Branstutter, her daughter: Sudie Grubb, her daughter-in-law: Ida Mae Branstutter, her son-in-law: Lowell Hicks, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Major Marcum and JS Marcum and her sister: Polly Inman.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Iva Lee Branstutter will be conducted on Sunday, February 26 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Stewart will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hoskins Cemetery in the Billy’s Branch Community.

Mrs. Jewell Williams, age 80 of Manchester departed this life on Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home. She was born on Tuesday, December 25, 1934 in Manchester to Ed and Pearl Smith.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Junior Williams, her children: Brenda Lee Williams, Glenda Lee Henson and her husband Wayne, Timmy Jr. Williams, and Leamon Williams. Also surviving are these grandchildren: Marcilla Williams, Cynthia Henson, Irma Michelle Henson, and Bryan Angelo Williams, her great grandchild: Danessa Hicks and her brothers and sister: Carl Smith, JM Smith, and Nellie Williams.

He was born on Wednesday, August 22, 1934 in Manchester, Kentucky. He was a member of the Pleasant Run Baptist Church. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter: Paula Jackson and her husband Larry, a special boy whom he loved as a grandson: Leonard Root, his sisters: Shirley Wolfe of Greenbriar, Brenda Breshears of Somerset, and Sue Jones of Indiana and his brother: Eddie Baker. Mrs. Alene Morgan, age 74 of Manchester departed this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on Friday, April 10, 1942 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Oscar and Alice Wagers Woods. She was a member of the Garrard Holiness Church.
Alene was united in marriage on October 24, 1958 to her loving husband of over 59 years Roy. Along with her husband Roy Morgan of Manchester, her daughters are also left to mourn her passing: Annette Morgan-White and her husband Yancey White, Laura Jeannette Sexton and her husband William Sexton, and Marcel Janine Morgan and Jeremy Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ailenea Annette Sexton, John Timothy Royce Morgan, William Morgan Yancey Sexton and Ueal Reece Mason Nolan as well as her siblings: Bryon Woods, Thelma Jean West, Susan Arnett, and Jessie McConnell and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousin, other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Oscar and Alice Woods, and her brothers: Lane Woods and George Woods.

She was born on Saturday, August 11, 1928 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Thomas and Cassie Brumley Smith. She retired from working as a Cashier and a Teacher’s Aide at the Clay County Board of Education, as well as a member of the Garrard Presbyterian Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Renee Smith and her husband Lonnie and Ronnie Ruth and his wife Linda. Also surviving are her grandsons: Ronald Wesley Ruth and Joshua Bryan Smith as well as her great grandson: Noah Eden Smith.

She was born on Tuesday, July 15, 1952 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Daugh and Lillie Minton Goins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Elzie G. Smallwood and her children: Pamela Cole, Clifford Dewayne Smallwood and his wife Paulette, Rhonda Overby, Franklin Smallwood, and Keegan Johnson. He was born on Friday, December 19, 1930 in Manchester to the union of Tom and Bessie Harris Gross. He worked in the coal mines, owned a used car lot and had a body shop as well as being a veteran of the United States Marines.
He leaves to mourn his passing his son: Roy Gross and his wife Ruby Lee and his daughter: Brenda Thompson and her husband Billy. Also surviving is his grandson: Roy Gross, Jr., his step-granddaughter: Leslie Hooker and several great grandchildren as well as his sisters: Fannie Bundy and Billie Jean Lunsford and his brother: Harold Gross.

He was a retired school teacher, a veteran of the United States Navy, a very talented musician, he played at Renfro Valley with the Bluegrass Meditations and played with several different bands and was very proud of his musical abilities. He is preceded in death by his parents: Toleman and Evelyn Brown, his grandson: Joshua Ryan Brown and his brother: Steve Edward Brown. Mr. Clifford Wagers, age 75, of Curry Branch Road in Manchester passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. He was born Tuesday, June 24, 1941 in Manchester, KY to Otis and Della (Gray) Wagers. He was a coal miner.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Connie (Curry) Wagers and these children: Randy Wagers and wife Bea, Winford Wagers and wife Georgia, Willie Wagers and wife Lisa, Misty Wagers and Timothy Hayes; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Lillie Mae Kirkland, Audrey Lynn, Patricia Gail, Rose Marie, Doris Jean, Alfred Wagers, Jr. Wagers and Teddy Wagers.
