She is survived by her parents, her husband Kevin Paul Taylor, her sons Ethan Nathaniel Taylor and Jacob Levi Taylor, all of London, and her parents-in-law, Felix and Robertha Taylor, of Annville, Ky., as well as a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at London Funeral Home’s chapel, with Dr. Terry Lester officiating. Burial followed at Resurrection Grounds in Bush, Ky. Conrad Cupp, Mike Taylor, Phil Taylor, Greg Sizemore, Amos Smith, and Leamon Smith served as pallbearers. He was a retired United States Air Force veteran, serving his country for 21 years, five months and 11 days. He achieved the rank of tech sergeant. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol A. (Walker) Martin, and by two brothers, Clarence Eugene Martin and Randle Hank Martin. He is survived by his children Julie Pyland and husband Kim, of Greensburg, Ind., Deanna Lima and husband Augusto, of Plainfield, Ind., and Lewis B. Martin Jr.; his granddaughter Amanda Lynn Lawlis, of Greensburg; his siblings Zelma Rice and husband Oscar, of East Bernstadt, Stanley Martin of Lady Lakes, Fla., Ethel Macheel, of Fergus Falls, Minn., Jay Martin and wife Claudia, of Indianapolis, Charlie Martin and wife Clara, of Beech Grove, Ind., Edith Scherrer and husband Alan, of Indianapolis, Ronald Martin and wife Joyce, of Hampton, Neb., and Virginia Cooper and husband David, of Helena, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. She was united in marriage to John C. Bowling, on Feb. 25, 1939, who preceded her in death. Verda was a housewife who devoted her life to serving her family. She was a member of the Slate Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Patton. She leaves behind to celebrate her life one son, Ronald Bowling and wife Grace, one daughter Glenda Patton, and five grandchildren, Greg Bowling and wife Stephanie, Min Young Bowling and wife, Judy, Beth Patton Hopper and husband Joe, Becki Patton Feger and husband Jim, and John E. D. Patton and wife Shanna; eight great-grandchildren, Chase, Gabby, and Allie Bowling, Corey, Hannah, and Rachel Feger, Jobeth, Haleigh, and Makenzi Hopper, John Carter and Landon David Patton. Born Jan. 28, 1934 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Margaret Wagers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Monroe Wagers, her husband Ray Morgan, and her son Mike Morgan. She is survived by her husband Herbert Robinson, of Manchester, children Bill Morgan, of London, Ky., Kaye Morgan-Bowers and husband Richard, of Sebring, Fla., Vanda Roberts and husband Delbert, of Manchester, Ky., Herbert Glenn Robinson and wife Beverly, of Manchester. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Her life was blessed with many, many very close friends from all over the country. She was a retired educator with a Master of Library Science from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Cumberland College. She was a teacher, school librarian and Infant Learning Program coordinator with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was a member of Manchester Gospel Mission Church, University of the Cumberlands Alumni Association, Manchester Red Hat Society, and Clay County Cancer Coalition. She was also a Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school coordinator, girls’ auxiliary director and women’s missionary union director. She was known as the social worker in her community, always doing things for other people, young or old. She was a woman who loved the Lord and lived her life as a testimony to God. She always took care of others before taking care of her own needs. She loved Martin’s Creek and her family farm. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. She lived life to the fullest and always looked on the positive side of things. She believed in God’s commands and lived her life as an example. Her life’s philosophy was to be happy and positive, prayerful and thankful, expressing thanks to others and being enthusiastic. She believed God is always in us, and we should be smart by believing all things are possible with Him. She believed one should strive to be holy and listen to God’s directions, and, like God, we should forgive others. She also believed there are three important things in life. First is to have faith and trust in God, second, love your family, and third, to donate back to your community by helping others, especially those who are less fortunate. This is how she lived her life to the fullest, and she will be missed greatly by her family and friends. He is survived by his wife Enid Crook Hubbard, of London; his sons Douglas Hubbard and wife Christy and Darrell Hubbard and wife Robin, all of London; his sisters Louise Gray and husband James, of East Bernstadt, Ky., Juanita Harmon and husband Ron, of Dayton, Ohio, and Marilyn Bitner, of Clarksville, Ind.; his brothers Larry Hubbard and wife Harriette, of London, Charles Hubbard, of London, and Bill Hubbard and wife Wilma, of Corbin, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Brandon, Lindsay, Tony and Carley Hubbard and Katie Morgan. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Bowling Funeral Home’s chapel, with Rev. Merle Owens officiating. Burial followed at Rough Creek Cemetery in London. Jimmy Hubbard, David Hubbard, Terry Hubbard, Darren Hubbard, Roger Hubbard, and Brandon Hubbard served as pallbearers.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Hannah R. Murray. Graveside services were Friday at Kitchen Cemetery in Popular Creek, Ky., Knox County with the Rev. Joe Senters officiating. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, June 9, at House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Burial followed at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in London. Albert Sheridan Hahn Obitbethanybeachnews.comAlbert Sheridan Hahn, 75, of Selbyville, Del., was reborn to the Lord’s grace of heaven on Friday, June 13, 2008. “What was once corruptible has become incorruptible” by the grace of Jesus’ sacrifice and Hahn’s acceptance of that gift of grace. His love was boundless and expressed itself in his service in missions to Red Bird Kentucky, service to St. Matthews UMC, in his voluntary work for the Delaware State Police, the Senior Advocacy program for the Delaware Attorney General’s Office and most recently in his election to the Board of Directors of the Delaware Electric Co-op. He had deep pride in the fellowship of his brothers of the Masonic Lodge of Palestine #189 in Catonsville, Md. He was Past Worshipful Master of Palestine 189 and also served as lodge secretary. To his great joy, he was nominated to the Grand Masonic Lodge of Maryland as Junior Grand Deacon and also was elected to Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden. He served his country honorably in the 101st Airborne and retired from the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company after 41 years of diligent service. Hahn was preceded in death by his parents, Philip “Poppy” and Virginia Hahn. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol L. Hahn, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2004. He was a devoted father of Phil, Keith, Cindy, Kathy and Laurie and grandfather of Will, Greg, Alicia, Andrew, Natalie, Adam and Zachary. He is survived by his sisters, Phyllis and Charlotte.

A student at Keavy Elementary School, he played baseball in the London Little League. He was the most caring and loving little boy who blessed many lives for six years and made us all appreciate life just a little more. His biggest thrill was doing everything his big brother did, and he really enjoyed being with his grandmothers. He loved to play any kind of ball and video games. In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by two brothers, Tristan Lewis of London and Parker Lewis of Corbin; his paternal grandmother, Jeloise (Jaye) Lewis of Corbin; his maternal grandparents, Quada Trobaugh of London, Hobart Jackson of Manchester; his step-grandfather, Eugene Trobaugh of London; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ray Lewis and a sister, Destiny Raven Jackson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Bowling Funeral Home. Burial will be at Youngs Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Jackson, Jeff Jackson, Mike Lewis, Travis Lewis, Charlie Walker and Derek Jackson.

Smith of Manchester, Darwin and wife Cathy Smith of Lexington, Randall and wife Cindy Smith of Lexington, Sandra (Smith) and husband Gary McInturf of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Verneda Sturgill and Vernalee Bruce of Corbin. He leaves behind other family members and many friends to mourn his passing. Funeral were conducted Thursday at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. L. V. Borden and Pastor Leonard Strunk officiating. Burial followed at the Corinth Cemetery.
