Where does the money go?
I own property in Clay County, Newfound Road. Three or four years ago, I paid a $500.00 installment fee, hoping to get city water. I was given back my $500.00 dollars and no water was ever run down the Newfound Road. Now the top news for Clay County is Governor Fletcher is allotting millions of dollars again... what is going with this money.
As far as I see it, Clay County Residents are not benefiting from this. Where is the Money going? I now live near Cincinnati, Ohio and the news stations, Especially Channel 9 News- WCPO, do investigations on items like this.. isn't there someone the people of Clay County can turn to??

From: Bob WickI've been trying to find a way to get a picture of a building which is in Clay County for a few years now and was hopeing someone could if nothing else point me in the right direction of how to locate a picture of it? In the old days it was the one room school house my Grandpa (Squire Stevens) went to and doubled as a Church. I heard it might be called Hensley Holiness ? Most of my Grandpa's family are burried there. I've only been there once and that was back in the 1960's. Its on Rt 11 , in Hensley Ky in Clay County. Do you have any idea of how I can get a photo of the building there if it is still standing, other than driving up there? i live in Myrtle Beach so its very far from me and I'd really like to not only see it for myself but to also be able to send my mother a photo. I'm not even sure if its still standing or what condition it is in if it is? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Bob Wickbwick@sc.rr.com

Hello to all in Clay County. I left Clay County in 1954 and moved to Ohio. I get back down there once a year, sometimes more. I always loved Clay County and its people. Most of my family are buried there. I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and I always read your paper every week on the computer. So keep the good news coming. Thanks Again.

Greetings to all the great folks in Manchester. I pastored a wonderful church there from 1980-1983 (New Prospect Baptist) and the love and support of the church, community, and churches in the community has left a lasting impression on my life and ministry -- thank you all. I enjoy reading the community news by internet and remembering my time in Manchester.
