Got the Black & Blues? A bruise occurs when the tissues underlying the skin become injured. The skin is not broken but the delicate capillaries below the skin's surface rapture. Increase your intake of citrus fruits, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage and green peppers as these all contain vitamin C, a deficiency of which can cause easy bruising. Also eat tangerines and peas for the bioflavonoids which aid in the absorption of vitamin C.
