Skins’ rally comes up short against Clay

Coming off a tough loss to Bell County, the Cumberland Redskins went into Tuesday’s game against Clay County needing a win to build some confidence before the All A Classic begins. A furious second-half rally came up just short as the Skins fell to the visiting Tigers 56-53.
"Before this game ever started, we knew that even though this team had a 6-8 record, the Redskins were a good ball team and this would be a tough game to win," Clay coach Glenn Gray said.
Cumberland (6-9) returns to action Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the 13th Region All "A" Classic. The Redskins will play host to the winner of Monday’s Middlesboro-Williamsburg game. Clay County (11-3) will play host to North Laurel on Friday.
