Manchester FCI inmate was part of International Hacker group In early 2012, members of the hacking collective Anonymous carried out a series of cyber attacks on government and corporate websites in Brazil. They did so under the direction of a hacker who, unbeknownst to them, was wearing another hat: helping the Federal Bureau of Investigation carry out one of its biggest cybercrime investigations to date. Monsegur relayed the details to no fewer than four other hackers, including Jeremy Hammond. He would often discover vulnerable websites, either by himself or with the help of his contacts. He would then deliver those targets to other members of AntiSec, including Hammond, a 29-year-old hacker who at the time was the FBI's most wanted cyber criminal. Hammond is now serving a ten-year prison sentence for his role in the attacks on American websites. "We had this Plesk vulnerability," Hammond said in a recent prison interview at a medium-level security facility in Manchester, Kentucky. "You could just search 'Brazil Plesk police' and see a list of targets, like the internal affairs of military police in Brazil. It would contain a hundred other domain names. They’d also have access to whatever was on that site." motherboard.vice.com/read/exclusive-how-an-fbi-informant-helped-anonymous-hack-brazil

More Kentucky patients flocking to ERs under Obamacare: 12 percent spike in the number of patients — many of whom aren't actually facing true emergencies — is spurring the Norton Hospital in Louisville to convert a waiting room into more exam rooms. It wasn't supposed to work this way, but since the Affordable Care Act took effect in January, Norton has seen its packed emergency room become even more crowded, with about 100 more patients a month. www.courier-journal.com/story/news/2014/06/07/patients-flocking-emergency-rooms-obamacare/10181349

KSP Warns of Leaving Children in Hot Cars The Kentucky State Police remind parents not to leave a child alone in a hot car as temperatures in the Bluegrass are on the rise. It may seem like common sense, but every year law enforcement agencies answer calls about unattended children in vehicles. The National Safety Council (NSC) reports that nine children have already died in 2014 from being left in hot cars across the U.S. www.kentuckystatepolice.org/2014/pr06_10_14.html
