Mr. D. Fred Rominger Obituary Mr. D. Fred Rominger, age 60 of Richmond Road in Manchester, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 27th, 2009 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born October 9, 1948 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of C. Fred & Minva Shrewsbury Rominger. He was co-owner of the Rominger Funeral Home of Manchester, Kentucky. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1970 & became a 3rd generation licensed funeral director & embalmer in 1972. He was a member & elder of the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church, a member & past master of the Clay Masonic Lodge #798, & a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his daughter: Tara Ruth Rominger of Greenbriar, his son: Wesley Paul Rominger of Greenbriar, the mother of his children: Paula Crawford Rominger, 2 grandchildren: Wesley Manning & Faith Rominger, his sister: Marsha Stivers of Greenbriar, 1 nephew: Kent Stivers, & 2 nieces: Shannon Magee & Whitney Arnett. Mr. Charles Kenton Stivers, age 51 of Manchester, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was born March 25, 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a factory worker, a member of the Laurel Creek Church of God Worship Center, a horse lover and an avid Louisville Cardinals fan.
He is survived by his children: Kenton Blake Stivers of London and Dan Andrew Stivers and Karen Matthews of London, his granddaughter: Keira Rose Stivers. Also surviving is his mother: Marsha Rominger Stivers of Greenbriar, his biological father: Eddie Hannon of Indiana, his paternal grandmother: Lena Hannon of Indiana, his sisters: Shannon Stivers Magee of Greenbriar, and Whitney Stivers Arnett and her husband James of Greenbriar, his nephews: Forrest Magee, Lucas Magee, and Connor Arnett, and his niece: Carly Elizabeth Short.
He is preceded in death by his father: Forest Stivers.
Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Kenton Stivers will be conducted on Tuesday, January 22 at 8 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Burns and Rev. Brad Stevens will be officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday, January 23 at 11 AM at the Reid Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 6 PM until the hour of the service at 8 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. (Homer) Jennings Johnson, age 54 of Burning Springs, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was born on Sunday, October 12, 1958 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Clinton and Jo Ann Rader Johnson. Jennings was a mechanic and part owner of Johnson’s Service Station, he was Assistant Emergency Management Director for the Clay County Fiscal Court, he was Past Master of Robert Clark Masonic Lodge #646, a member of Martha Clark Eastern Star Lodge #201, and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter: Chelsie Johnson Wolfe and her husband Kevin, his granddaughter: Sidney Drew Wolfe, his parents: Clinton and Jo Ann Johnson, his sister: Debbie Hoskins and her husband Marvin, his brother: Johnny Johnson and his wife Mechelle, his nieces: Leann Hoskins Bowling and Courtney Johnson, his nephews: Jonathan Johnson and Adam Hoskins, his great nephew: Kyle Bowling, and many, many friends to mourn his passing. Mr. Fred L. Brockman, age 89 departed this life on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born on Saturday, February 7, 1925 in Centerville, Indiana to the union of Robert and Gracie Callahan Brockman. He was retired from the Rominger Funeral Home where he worked for over 37 years, a member of the Lyttleton Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II. Mr. Francis Russell “Bozo” Hacker, age 82 of Manchester departed this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. He was born on Monday, June 5, 1933 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Curt and Malvery Burns Hacker. He was owner of Bozo’s Tires.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Verna Hibbard Hacker, his sons: Darrell Wayne Hacker and wife Dema, Curtis Ford Hacker and Carrie, and Jeffrey Russell Hacker and his wife Keeta. Also surviving are the following grandchildren: Brent Wayne Hacker, Hallee Hacker, Yahnelle Lalynn Hacker, Zac Hacker and his wife Lacey, Laisey Hacker, Bradley Hacker, Dwight Scalf, and Dustin Scalf. Mr. Theron Hacker, age 71 of Fogertown departed this life on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his home. He was born on Thursday, June 29, 1944 in Fogertown to the union of Hartigan and Marie York Hacker. He was retired from General Motors and was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Sue McKnight Hacker, his sons: David Glenn Hacker and his wife Patricia Ann and Darrin Hacker and his wife Alana. Mrs. Mae Bowling Roberts, age 88 of Manchester, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Kentucky. Mae B. Roberts was born on Thursday, May 24, 1928 at Big Creek, Kentucky to the union of Taylor G. Bowling and Lucy Webb Bowling.
Mae married Jim Roberts on October 12, 1945 and three children were born from this union.
Mae B. Roberts is survived by one son: Stanley B. Roberts and Shirley Hurley. Shirley was a special friend to Mae. She also leaves surviving one sister: Jean B. Cain of Berea, Kentucky; two grandsons: James M. Sublett and wife Sherry and David E. Sublett and wife Angie, and two great granddaughters: Rhea M. Sublett and Abbigail M. Sublett, all of Cincinnati, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Roberts, her daughter: Alma Sharon Roberts and her son: Jimmy Roberts, Jr. She is also preceded in death by her parents: Taylor G. and Lucy Webb Bowling, as well as the following sisters and brother: Alma Sizemore, Oma Hoskins, Helen Eagle, Elsie Marcum and Stanley Bowling.

Lawrence Hoskins, 96, passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2016. He was born June 17, 1920 in Manchester Kentucky to Bill and Prudie Hoskins, their last surviving child. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18 and traveled throughout the world and resided in Marina California for 28 years and Virginia, Beach Virginia for 18 years where upon he returned to California to live with his family for the remainder of his life. He married his beloved wife Ruth Grace Clark-Hoskins in 1944, Sydney Australia. The two remained married for 46 years until Ruth passed away in 1989. In 1991 he married Vera Rowland and remained married until her passing in 2001. . Lawrence proudly served his country for 30 years and was a veteran of Foreign Wars -WWII, Korean War, and served during the Vietnam War era at which time he retired in 1968. Upon retirement he attended San Jose State University and U.C. Berkley. Lawrence embarked on several more career paths including, Welding Engineer for Cochran Western, Salinas, CA, teacher at Hartnell College, Salinas, CA, and the Adult Education program for Monterey Unified School District, CA. He retired from the field of education at the age of 70. His hobbies included a passion for bee keeping, astronomy, gardening, camping and hiking throughout Yosemite National Park.
In addition to his accomplished career, he was one of the kindest men in the world and loved children. Everyone who knew him was touched by his gentle nature. His family served as the center of his life.
Mr. Lawrence Hoskins is survived by: his son Michael Hoskins (Barbara) of Hawaii, son David Hoskins, daughter Robin Hoskins, daughter Elizabeth Hoskins-Magee (Greg), son Jonathan Hoskins (Brittany), granddaughter Nevaeh Hoskins of Monterey, CA, and daughter Christine Sinatra (Philip) of Julian, CA. He is also survived by Vera’s children Linda (Greg) Kozlowicz of Las Vegas, Tracey (Vince) Hadus, granddaughter Amanda Hadus of Virginia Beach, VA. , Carlotta (Robert and Clayton) Cooprider of Indianapolis, IN. He was a treasure to all who knew him and his legacy will live on forever and serve as a cherished touchstone of how one man’s life can make a difference.

Mr. Willis M. Allen, age 72 of Fisherville, Kentucky formerly of Manchester departed this life on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his home. He was born Wednesday, December 8, 1943 in Manchester to the union of Harvey and Polly Tipton Allen.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Willis Allen, Harvey Allen, Tammy Allen and Tonia Heinzen and her husband Kris, the mother of his children: Irene Demko, his grandchildren: Brent Allen, Dakota Allen, Sarah Woodruff, Kendall Woodruff, Kennedy Heinzen, Kristopher Heinzen, Gavin Heinzen, and Griffin Heinzen. Also surviving are his brothers: Bertram Allen and Shelby, and Richard Allen and Eloise as well as his sister: Judith Catron and Ethel Smith.

Savannah Lynn Turner Wyatt, age 31 of Manchester, departed this life on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Wednesday, February 20, 1985 at the Red Bird Hospital.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Donovan Dwayne Wyatt, Mackenzie Lashae Wyatt, Madison Leanne Turner, and Maci Raelynn Turner, her mother: Charlotte Turner Shilt, her grandmother: Diane Turner, close family friend: Roy Wayne Gross, father: Arthur Arnett, and step-father: Robert “Bobby” Shilt. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters: Larry Wayne Turner and Angie Hoskins, Arthur Ray “Bub” Turner and Burgundy, Amanda Elizabeth Hayes and Jamie, Chester “Chet” Arnett, A. J. Arnett, Carla Morgan and Darin, Ernest Wayne Steven, Ruthie Edna Stidham, a host of aunts, uncles, special cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Anna Jo Singleton Jackson, age 64 of Manchester, departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on Thursday, September 6, 1951 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Joe and Jean Turner Singleton. She worked for the Child Support Enforcement and was a member of the Liberty Worship and Outreach Center.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: James Orie Jackson, her daughters: Amy Camille Jackson Gilbert and her husband: Nathan and Erin Brittany Finley and her husband Dustin. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Abigail Camille Finley, Jackson Cole Finley, Amelia Layne Finley, Leighanna Elizabeth Gilbert, Lillian Catherine Gilbert, Andrew Nathan Gilbert, and Maxton Cade Gilbert. Mrs. Norma Jean McDaniel, age 83 departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. She was born on Sunday, April 2, 1933 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Omar Felix Harding and Anna Margaret Robinson Harding McDaniel. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and ran a restaurant for many years.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Earl McDaniel and his wife Lucy, Mary Ann McDaniel and her husband Gilbert Day, and Wayne McDaniel and his wife Dorothy. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Jason Day, James Day, Courtney McDaniel, Chelsey Livingston, and Daniel McDaniel, her great grandchildren: Josh, Raylin, Kolby, Dustin and Tate and her brothers and sisters: William C. Harding, Harold Lee Harding, Charles Burton McDaniel, James Pearl McDaniel, David G. McDaniel and Wanda Morgan.

Mr. Arnold Minton, age 91 of Manchester departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on Wednesday, October 15, 1924 in Clay County to the union of William and Mary Cheek Minton. He worked in concrete and was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Lawrence Minton, Clifford Minton, Wanda Jarvis, and Brenda Allen. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as his brothers: Vestil Minton and Denver Minton.

He was born on Saturday, April 18, 1925 in the Bowling Town Community of Perry County, Kentucky to the union of Woolery and Vinnie Wooton Begley Bowling. He was a retired coal miner and an electrician in the mines as well as a veteran of the United States Navy.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Leona Burton Bowling and these children: Janice Whited and husband Dwight, James Bowling, Joseph Bowling and his wife Bobbie, Joanie Gooch and her husband James C., Woolery Jr. Bowling and wife Lisa, Jason Bowling and Jackie Bowling and his wife Sharon Kaye. He leaves to mourn his passing his sons: Kenneth Day and Joe Day, several grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, a very special nephew: Marion Spurlock, and a host of other relatives and friends.
