Tips - Varicose Veins The best exercise to aid circulation for people with varicose veins is walking or gently jogging in a pool for 30 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week. Before going to bed, prevent and assist healing of varicosities, by submerging your feet in cold water for 30 seconds and then in hot water for 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times, and then end off with a final 30 seconds in the cold water. Elevating the foot of your bed will relieve pain, by aiding circulation whilst you sleep.
