The Clay County High School Tiger baseball team will end the regular season Thursday with a home game with Red Bird. The Tigers open the 49th District at North Laurel Monday at 5:30 in a semi-final matchup with Jackson County. The Clay County Tiger baseball team finished their season at 13-13 Thursday night with a 10-0 win over Red Bird. Senior Brandon Mobley pitched a one-hitter for the win. Clay County will play Jackson County Monday evening at 5:30 in the semi-finals of the 49th District Tournament at North Laurel. The Clay County Tiger baseball seniors Jamie Harris and Brandon Mobley were honored before the Red Bird game Thursday night. Mobley was the starting pitcher and pitched a one-hit shutout as the Tigers won 10-0 in five innings. Clay County will face Jackson County in the 49th District Tournament Monday night beginning at 5:30 PM at North Laurel. Clay County will face North Laurel in the 49th District Tournament championship game Tuesday night at North Laurel. Clay County defeated Jackson County 8-1 to move into the finals.
