We get all up in the air when some “minority race” is discriminated against. And well we should. We get very angry when any hint of prejudice surfaces against women; while much of that is even unfounded. We now are hearing a constant outcry that homosexuals should have equal rights, which really means accepting their lifestyle as being right—which is both Biblically and Constitutionally wrong! But there is virtually no outcry against the greatest discrimination occurring in our nation today. There is almost no voice being raised against the greatest lie that is being spread in America at this hour. The indoctrination has been so widespread by the “educational elite” in Washington and in state bureaucracies, as well as in the national media, that we’ve believed it with hardly a thought. The Hope of Biblical Government by Don Pinson
Hope came to the world 700 years before the birth of Christ, as Isaiah, the Hebrew prophet foretold of a Child who would come into the world and change the world for the better. Isaiah prophesied: “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders…There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)

The Herald Angels Sing by Don Pinson
So often, at this time of year, we sing Christmas carols in our churches or at family gatherings. Some have melodies which raise our emotions to the heights. Others woo us into quiet meditations on the deep meaning of Jesus’ entry into this world and what His invasion into human flesh really means to us. But the carol that does both those things for me is Hark the Herald Angels Sing. Written by the great song-writing revivalist, Charles Wesley, the revelation in this hymn of what Christ did for us is astounding! Take a journey with me as we attempt to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us what Jesus did for us. Wesley wrote: Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King; Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!” Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With the angelic host proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem.” Hark! Why The Manger? by Don Pinson

Jesus came to pay the debt of “one perfect life” which we, as mankind, owed to God for our “theft-sin” in the Garden of Eden; and to also put to death that selfish man that we became because of our rebellion against God. Jesus’ work now gave us a cleansed “temple” into which the life of God could come—if Jesus could overcome death. God so used one man, Patrick of Ireland, in the 400s to so change Ireland that it would be a base from which the Gospel would be carried to the ends of the earth in that day! Patrick led thousands to Christ in Ireland. He started over 700 churches in 28 years! He trained and set apart 700 bishops and 3000 ministers to further disciple the people who had come to Christ. He started training centers to equip believers to carry the Gospel to their own—and to the world. And Patrick understood something we’ve lost: That is, the institution of civil government was God’s institution and must operate by His truth, the Bible, if it is to fulfill its purpose of protecting God-given rights of life, liberty, and property. Globalism by Don Pinson
We now hear the term, “global” everywhere. It’s been made popular by those who want to institute a world government by trying to mesh all nations into one. Those who push it work to convince us that this will be the “cure-all” for everything that’s wrong; injustice, poverty, racial strife, and every other evil, they proclaim, will be stopped with this new “resplendent age of humanism.” They proudly deny the existence of God and declare that “deified” man will finally reach his “gifted potential.”—Though, it’s interesting they never identify where the “gift” came from! Now, they want us to walk through the left side of doors; because that’s the way most of the world does it. They’ve slyly involved us in the banking system of the world, virtually eliminating our own U.S. banking system. They want our court cases to be decided by international law, not our own U.S. and state law. They’ve pushed for “international” symbols on restrooms, bank card machines, and roadways. It’s all an effort to remove national and state boundaries—which means replacing our governments with a world government. This concept is against everything God teaches in the Bible. It lashes out at the Biblical concept of covenant. Covenant means “the meeting of minds.” The Bible says, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

The Danger of Trusting One Ruler’s Will by Don Pinson
In the last few days we finally received a Senate investigation report on the Benghazi massacre and cover-up. It stated: “The deaths were preventable.” Ambassador Chris Stevens and other Americans were killed because of the negligent actions of Hillary Clinton and Mr. Obama. And yet, it takes over 15 months for this to come out; when it could easily have been produced before the election of 2012. It wasn’t. If the report is true; Mr. Obama and Secretary Clinton, without doubt, knew what was about to happen. So once the Americans had been killed, what did they do? They blamed an unrelated video for causing these deaths! They even took out a newspaper ad apologizing to the Arab world for the “video.” But they didn’t take out an ad apologizing to the families of the victims and to the rest of America for their negligence. Of course Mr. Obama had an election to win in 2012; and Mrs. Clinton has one to win in 2016. Thus, we see yet another instance of the selfish nature of man hiding the truth in the cause of self-interest. This is the danger of the dream endorsed by both Obama and Clinton. This dream of global dictatorship is supposed to produce world peace through the will of one individual. Social justice, as this dream is called, is supposed to bring justice to the world. Pastors Inspired the American Revolution by Don Pinson
Who were the thinkers behind the American Revolution which would give birth to the greatest Republic the world had ever seen? Actually, men like Washington, Jefferson, or even Samuel Adams, were not the “root” thinkers of that Revolution. You may be surprised, but the truth is; it was the Pastors who inspired the thinking that brought about the American Revolution. They taught it in the churches! The Provincial Congress of Massachusetts stated in 1774: “…we cannot but acknowledge the goodness of Heaven in constantly supplying us with preachers of the Gospel whose concern has been the temporal and spiritual happiness of this people…and do therefore recommend…that they assist us in avoiding that dreadful slavery with which we are now threatened…”
The inspiration for the Battle of Lexington and Concord, which began the Revolutionary War, was none other than Jonas Clark, Pastor of the Church in Lexington for twenty years before the Revolution. It was he who authored almost every state paper written to record the town’s position on liberty. How Long Before Impeachment? by Don Pinson
Barack Obama made the astounding statement in the 2014 State of the Union Message that if the Congress refused to work with him, he would advance his policies by Executive Order. He’s bragged that he has “a pen” and he has “a phone;” as if his word is the law! This is beyond thinkable! This is dictatorial control such as was exercised by Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. In July of 1776 the American colonies stood up and threw off the dictatorial yoke of King George the III of England because this man had constantly ignored the British Constitution. In the Declaration of Independence, our Founding Fathers listed 27 violations of God-given rights which King George the III had done. Think About It Amos’ Call to Repentance by Don Pinson
As the debate between Ken Ham and Bill Nye revealed, the real reason people want to reject the Creationist’s view of origins is because if there is no Creator, we don’t have to think about being judged by our Creator. Judgment for rebellion is no pleasant thought when the Judge is a just God who keeps a very detailed, specific record of every thought and every action we’ve ever known. The message of judgment for sins has always been unpopular with those who want to run their own lives; it still is. But the fact remains: No matter how much we try to put off or forget judgment, it will still occur, right on schedule, both in this world and the next. The prophet Amos warned the northern kingdom of Israel that impending doom was near. He had cried out, “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion…that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock…That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of music…That drink wine in bowls, and…are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive…
The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself…‘therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein…’ For, behold, the LORD…will smite the great house with breaches…for ye have turned judgment into gall…‘behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel,’ saith the LORD the God of hosts; ‘and they shall afflict you…’” Amos 6:1-14
But Israel scoffed at Amos’ words. In spite of increasing disease and frightful storms, the nation still didn’t really think “these were the beginning of sorrows.” They thought somebody will get a handle on this economy; someone will come up with a cure for this rampant disease (sounds like our sexually transmitted diseases, like AIDS, doesn’t it?). After all, they said, this Amos guy doesn’t even have a college degree; what could he know about judgment from God? But Amos faithfully kept trying to warn them. He cried against their refusal to consider their Godly heritage. He warned them that God was saying to them: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities…” Amos 3:2
In other words, “to whom much is given, much is required.” He cried against the church, declaring that, because you will not proclaim the truth to God’s people, “…they know not to do right…” (Amos 3:10) He warned them that this compromising of the words of God would bring “…a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD…” Amos 8:11
How true of America! You don’t have to sit in the average church very long before you see and hear “God-sickening” nakedness and stories of where so-called Christians were the night before, and what they were doing. Oh, God help us, how much like Amos’ day we are!! America’s Founding Fathers warned us what would happen if we ignored God’s moral and civil laws. George Mason warned us at our Constitutional Convention: “As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, they must be in this [one]. By an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes national sins, by national calamities.”
The Northern Kingdom of Israel fell to the Assyrians in 722 B.C., just as Amos had warned 30 years earlier. Will we refuse God’s warnings until it’s too late? Marriage Amendment Crippled by Don Pinson
On February 12, 2014, a District judge ruled that Kentucky must recognize so called “same-sex marriages” from other states. This was aimed at the heart of Kentucky’s Marriage Amendment passed in 2004 which defined marriage as being between a man and a woman only. And now, if Kentucky’s state government refuses to resist the national government’s judge, Kentucky’s people will be forced to tolerate this disorder in our state – even though Kentucky citizens voted in 2004 by a three to one margin to not recognize such ceremonies. Why can this happen? How is it that one judge can thwart the will of thousands of people in their state. Number one, it’s because of a misinterpretation of the U.S. Constitution, claiming that the Founders allowed such in the Constitution. That argument is so ludicrous I won’t even give it any space here. Let me go to the real heart of this issue. The very few now rule the many in America because God’s people have backed out of the political realm. Less than a third of those who say they are “born-again” voted in the 2012 Presidential election. That meant more than 70 million evangelicals did not vote! Obama won that election by about 5 million votes. Do the math!! While we’re busy meeting in our churches and talking about how quick we can “get outta here” in the rapture, our children are being enslaved to dictatorial government because we’re disengaged from the culture. The Bible warns us, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge…seeing thou hast forgotten the law of…God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6
We’re losing our liberty because we don’t know God’s type of civil government revealed in the Bible is a republic. And this is the type of government God gave to us through our Founders in America. And, of course, we don’t know how to operate what we don’t know exists! A republic is “a state in which the exercise of the sovereign power is lodged in representatives elected by the people.” (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary) This means the people must go vote in order to choose who will represent them in government. If a citizen doesn’t go vote, it means he is allowing someone else to choose what the future of his family will be like. But worse than that, he is treating as worthless the precious privilege which God entrusted to us; for the word vote means “Our solemn vow to God!” (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary) This explains more than just why we’re losing the battle for marriage. It explains why most Americans are Pro-life, but we keep killing unborn children by this murderous practice of abortion. It explains why we can’t get our Congress to impeach a man who’s usurping Constitutional power and ruling like a dictator. Wondering what I mean? Well consider how our government works: Judges are nominated by the President and the Senate must approve those nominations. If we elect Presidents and Senators who won’t use the Bible as their standard for who should be a judge, we get judges who rule against Biblical principles like marriage; and like protecting the child in the womb. If “born-again” citizens don’t go vote, people are put into office who don’t have the courage to bring impeachment proceedings against someone like Barack Obama, who ignores the Constitution as if his word is the law. Christian non-involvement equals corrupt government! So, if born again people don’t start doing more “occupying” (by voting) instead of just hoping to “fly away”, we shortly will not be able to meet and sing “I’ll fly away!” Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you — and for your children! Defending the Liberty of Others by Don Pinson
A lady from Argentina cries out to us in America and says, “We pray you people of the United States stand up and hold on for we are counting on you to defend our freedom.” (Answers in Genesis Newsletter; July 27, 2007) Does that not make you feel a great responsibility? It certainly should! While we go about enjoying our prosperous lifestyles the rest of the world longs for the opportunity to be able to compete in the market place without the interference of an oppressive government. While we use our abundant free time for every conceivable pleasure known to man, the rest of the world only dreams of having a work day that didn’t last from daylight to dark everyday. While we use our freedom to frequent golf courses, ballgames, and shopping malls, most people on earth long for enough freedom just to teach their children how to keep body and soul together. Am I saying prosperity is wrong? No! Is liberty wrong? No! They are gifts from Almighty God. But how we use them can easily be wrong. Liberty and prosperity are not about our pleasure and comfort! They are about getting the truth—the Gospel—to the next generation and to whomever else we can in our short stay here on earth. The Bible says, “Redeem the time because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16
Perhaps you’re wondering what the Gospel has to do with getting liberty to the world. That just means you’re a victim of humanistic education instead of the fruit of Biblical education. Civil liberty always follows personal, Biblical liberty. The Bible says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Corinthians 3:17 Since our sin in the Garden of Eden, all of history is the struggle against satanic forces to get the truth into the human mind; because, whoever gets the mind, gets the nation. Because our Pilgrim forefathers understood, from the Bible, that civil liberty was the gift of God through the Gospel of Christ, they established Biblical educational, economic, and governmental institutions. Those institutions taught, funded, and protected, by law, the liberty of future generations to hear the truth. That is the only reason for our current liberty and prosperity in America. And much of that liberty still stands even though our current education system has been eroding it for over 80 years now. Because God has gifted us with the liberty—and the means to promote and defend that liberty—Americans are the ones responsible for world freedom. Hear it from the heart of one who had been imprisoned for 14 years simply because he spoke the Gospel of Jesus Christ; one whose body bore the scars of the torture of oppressive government. Hear the bleeding heart cry of Richard Wurmbrand! “Every freedom-loving man has two fatherlands; his own and America. Today, America is the hope of every enslaved man, because it is the last bastion of freedom in the world. Only America has the power and spiritual resources to stand as a barrier between militant Communism and the people of the world. It is the last ‘d**e’ holding back the rampaging floodwaters of militant Communism. If it crumples, there is no other d**e, no other dam; no other line of defense to fall back upon. America is the last hope of millions of enslaved peoples. They look to it as their second fatherland. In it lies their hopes and prayers.
“I have seen fellow-prisoners in Communist prisons beaten, tortured, with 50 pounds of chains on their legs – praying for America….that the d**e will not crumple; that it will remain free.”
Are you living to get the truth to the world? Or are you living for pleasure, prestige, and possessions? Who is God? by Don Pinson
Everyone wants to know “who is God?”! Built into us is an inescapable desire to know Who made us (and Who made everything else); and what the purpose is for our existence. All men worship. Some know the God they worship; others are just reaching for Him by worshiping a false god such as allah, or one of the millions of Hindu gods; or they exalt their own intellect or desires as god. But make no mistake about it—all worship! Jesus told the woman of Samaria: “ye worship ye know not what” (John 4:22) She worshiped: She just worshiped a false god! So the question still rages today: Who is God? The desire for eternity is in our hearts. Jesus boldly declared that He, Himself, was the Son of the Creator God—the Creator of all that is. When a blind man whom Jesus healed asked Him who the Son of God was, Jesus plainly stated, “…it is he that talketh with thee.”
The blind man then worshiped Him, and Jesus received that worship. Since the record of Jesus’ life is in the Bible, if one wants to discredit His words, first they must discredit the Bible. But you can reasonably prove the truth of the Biblical record with what is called, the “legal-historical” method. That is: The evidence of the record we do have is overwhelmingly in favor of the Bible being accurate. Consider one “legal-historical” record (See More Than A Carpenter, by Josh McDowell for others): The number of New Testament manuscripts which still exist, along with the date when they were written, give overwhelming evidence that the Bible is true. For example, compare with the New Testament, The Iliad, by Homer. The Iliad has 643 manuscript copies in print today; and those copies date to within 400 years of the time when the original was penned. That’s very impressive compared to other ancient literature. However, the New Testament has nearly 25,000 copies still found in the world’s libraries which were penned within four hundred years of the original!! No scholar doubts that Homer wrote The Iliad. Why would we doubt the New Testament record? Another “legal-historical” record is that there were more than 500 people who said they saw Jesus after He was raised from the dead. Five hundred people told the same story over and over. The truth of what they told is verified by the fact there has never been found a 1st century writer who ever tried to prove that they were lying. Surely, if there had been a “hole” in their story, some secular writer would have pointed it out (Ibid, p.91-92). The Bible record is true! Add to that the “commitment test” and the evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of the Bible being accurate. By “commitment test” I mean how many people are willing to lay down their lives peaceably for their faith. Many Moslems have died for their faith, but most of them died fighting in a “holy war”, as they call it. While exact numbers cannot be known, I think the historical evidence is undeniable that the largest number of people who have peaceably laid down their lives for their faith would be Christians. (See Foxe’s Book of Martyrs and The Story of Liberty for examples of this) How we die is the greatest evidence for our faith. Christians have always been willing to lay down their lives for Christ and His Word. And then, there’s the personal test. If you’ve received Jesus Christ as your Lord, you know that He is real and His Word is true. You can say with the Apostle Paul, “…for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” (2 Timothy 1:12)
Is the question really, Who God is? Or is it, Who wants to be God? Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you — and for your children! The Personal Importance of Knowing ‘Who is God?’ by Don Pinson
The Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) Have you considered God’s creation: How vast it is? How intricately it works? The sun is 93 million miles from the earth. If you counted to a million, taking no eating, sleeping, or bathroom breaks, it would take you 23 days. If you could count to 93 million, it would take you 7 years!! And yet our sun is the closest star to us. How vast is God’s creation. And yet, God says, “Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 23:24
How awesome is God, our Creator!!! But being so vast doesn’t keep God from being precise in His creation. We set our clocks and navigate the earth by the movements of the stars! How GREAT God is! So who would explain all this vast, intricately precise creation by a “big bang”, by evolution, or by millions of years? No honest-hearted, thinking individual! The fact that God is Creator gives us worth. If He is that powerful and that precise, to be associated with Him would elevate us, as mankind, to the very highest position possible; because we’re “made in His image.” The Bible says, “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion…’” Genesis 1:26
It also says, “For in Him we live and move and have our being…” Acts 17:28
Not only are we important by our association with God; but we are made in the very image of God! This is what gives to you and me value. We’re made in “His image”! But, not only did God create us “in His image”; He gifted us with His abilities! Romans 12 tells us of abilities He’s deposited in each one of us. These abilities are designed to enable us to carry on the vocation to which He calls us in this world. These gifts are why an engineer can design a bridge, or a singer can sing, or a mother can love her children. Those gifts are why a father can teach his children how to live life in this world. God equips those He creates, so we can become what He made us to become. But not only are there natural abilities which God has deposited within us; He so constructed us so that we could actually have Him come to live within us and release His life through those abilities! This is what the Bible means when it declares: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27
When we allow Jesus Christ to come into us and take up residence within us, He is able to live His life through the abilities which He’s released into us. This means our actions will be full of the life of God instead of ourselves. Other people will be blessed by our abilities because of His life flowing through us. Instead of our pride spreading death through our abilities, through His humility in us, His life touches others at the point of their real need. Thus, He gets to reveal Himself through us in this world. He gets shown to the world; and we get blessed beyond measure by being a vessel of His life!! This is what the Apostle Paul described when he wrote, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
All this is made possible by Jesus’ sacrifice at the Cross. He took our rebellion into Himself so we could be released from the sin we committed in the Garden of Eden. The Bible says, “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” 1st Peter 3:18
Because He’s brought us to God by His death and resurrection, we can become a vessel of God’s life; and know our worth as His creation—and as His child! Will you receive Him as your Lord? Legislative Stands: For God or Man? by Don Pinson
On Friday March 14th, state Legislators in Kentucky chose to stand either with God, or with the Speaker of the House; just a man. A “discharge petition” was brought forth to bring the Senate’s version of the “ultra-sound bill” onto the House Floor for a vote. This bill would likely save 2,000 lives of unborn children this coming year. It’s been hung up in a committee where the chairman boasts he will kill all pro-life bills. The vote reveals those who stood for truth, and reveals those who chose against the truth. There are 100 members in Kentucky’s House of Representatives. 54 are Democrats; 46 are Republicans. 42 Republicans voted for the petition, which would save the lives of unborn children; 4 Republicans were not present to vote. 1 Democrat voted for the petition. 8 Democrats voted against the petition. All other Democrats present would not cast a vote!! They refused to do the very thing the people sent them there to do: cast votes on legislation! Who’s to be a voice for the people in their districts if their Legislators don’t vote on issues? Abstaining from voting on this bill is the very same thing as voting against this bill. It just says, “I don’t have the courage to stand openly against the truth, so I’ll try to duck behind Speaker Greg Stumbo, the Party Leader who agreed with this refusal to vote: That way I might not have to answer my people’s questions about why I like to appear ‘pro-life’, but won’t vote for pro-life legislation.” The Bible calls this hypocrisy, and Jesus condemned the Pharisees for it in no uncertain terms! (see Matthew 23:13-32) The Bible says, “Defend the…fatherless: do justice to the afflicted…” (Psalm 82:3)
The most “afflicted” people in our society are the unborn children being ripped from their mother’s womb by the murderous practice of abortion! God says, “I, the Lord, love justice.” (Isaiah 61:8)
Where in America’s so-called “justice system” is there justice for the unborn? God hates this!! Most all Legislators like to list in their bio sketches in the State House directory, a church with which they are associated. But how many of them live like Christians once they are there? Some do; a lot don’t! God scalded the rulers of Jeremiah’s day as he exposed their hypocrisy with these words: “Shalt thou reign, because [you close yourself] in cedar? Did not thy father…do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him? He judged the cause of the…needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD. But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood…and for violence, to do it.” (Jeremiah 22:15-17)
It’s an awesome responsibility to be elected to be a voice for the people in whom God has deposited the authority for our state republics. To refuse to stand with God’s position in the Bible on issues like abortion and marriage is to admit we don’t know God very well: Otherwise, we would love what He loves and hate what He hates. We would also greatly fear His Judgment Seat when He will review each moment of our life. And while He offers us forgiveness if we will admit we’ve been against Him and receive Jesus Christ, His Son, as our Master in this world, that in no way releases us from the responsibility to stand for His truth in the making of our laws. Indeed, it means our judgment will be even stricter because, “…unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:” (Luke 12:48)
May God give all of us His heart for truth in government! Do you have that heart? Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you — and for your children! What is Marriage? by Don Pinson
Recently, judges in the national court system have declared state Marriage Amendments to be in disagreement with the U.S. Constitution; because those Amendments declare marriage to be between a man and a woman only. But Judges have no right to make law, which is what is happening when they try to nullify law which has been duly processed through state governments. America’s Founders gave to the national government only 30 powers in the original U.S. Constitution. Marriage is not named in that Constitution because it was to be left to the individual states as to how marriage would be defined, and the process by which it would be entered into. In his original American Dictionary (1828), Noah Webster defined marriage as: “The act of uniting a man and woman for life…Marriage was instituted by God Himself for the purpose of…securing the maintenance and education of children.”
The purpose of marriage is mainly to secure “the maintenance and education of children.” God wants the next generation to become carriers of His own life, so they will teach the truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Christ to their children (Psalms 78:5-6). Thus, each generation will become carriers of the life of God. This is what makes marriage so important. This is why it has always been satan’s target. He wants marriage destroyed to keep truth from reaching the next generation. Understanding this, it’s easy to know that divorce is satan’s plan, not God’s (See Malachi 2:16). This is the reason for the tremendous attack on the concept of marriage in America the last 75 years. The attack has come on two fronts: The first is easy divorce promoted by legislators who (because of ignorance or fear) refuse to stand for the truth of God concerning marriage. The second front is the effort to redefine marriage by homosexuals. Both of these movements are fueled by satan in order to destroy God’s plan to get the truth to the next generation. Families that are not living according to the Bible do not communicate very much Biblical truth to their children. Since easy divorce and redefined marriage help to bring disorder to the family, they are tools of satan to hinder God’s flow of truth to future generations. Jesus is plain in His teaching that marriage is a covenant for life. He stated, “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (See Mark 10:9) Covenant means the “meeting of minds.” When children see their parents working to “think with God” and each other, they feel secure because there is a higher Authority Who gets the last word on any issue. This models for children how to live in submission to the will of God. And, while only God can enable spouses to think enough alike to be able to stay together for a lifetime, He CAN DO THAT! Only God can enable us to agree on the basics of life; that is: Who God is, who we are, and what His plan is for our lives. God teaches spouses faith by teaching them to walk in His covenant of marriage. This is why He “flushes” out things on which spouses disagree. He calls on us to stay in the marriage, even in the midst of huge disagreements. This forces us to call on Him for help to do this. Through this “pressure” of disagreement, He thus grows us into His image. We learn to trust His way when we definitely do not feel like trusting Him! And through our example, children learn to face their difficulties in life instead of running from them. Are you standing for marriage? Are you standing in YOUR marriage! Jesus Christ is Creator by Don Pinson
How mankind came into being is being much debated just now. A fierce war rages over whether the dogmatic doctrine of evolution is right, or if the God of the Bible is our Creator. Recently, 5 million people watched Ken Ham and Bill Nye’s debate whether the Biblical account of creation is true. The debate was so popular on Twitter that, for a time, the event was half of Twitter’s trending topics. Thousands of others are yet viewing it by other means of modern media. Right here in Kentucky the magnificent Creation Museum reveals the truth of creation. Some twenty-five years ago, Ken Ham, a science teacher in Australia, was greatly disturbed by the constant statements in classrooms that evolution was how we got on this earth. So he began showing the true scientific evidence, all of which agreed with the Biblical account of creation in the book of Genesis. This would lead to a ministry called Answers In Genesis which has become a worldwide organization that tells, with many different media means, the true story of man’s origins. Is there scientific evidence that the Biblical account of creation is more reliable than the theory of evolution? Consider this: Evolution says the earth is billions of years old. If this is true, why aren’t people standing back to back all over the earth. There were only 300 million people on earth when Jesus walked here 2000 years ago; today there are 7 billion. If the population would increase that much in just 2000 years, what would have happened in millions of years? Where did all those people go? The $25 million dollar Creation Museum (located in Florence, KY) for several years has been astounding the liberal media by the crowds that have visited it. The education elitists are screaming that this is a ‘dangerous’ idea that threatens to undo their stronghold on education throughout America. In my opinion, their very outcry may signal the very earliest stage of a national revival. Up until the early 1900s, Americans believed in the Genesis account of creation. Our nation was founded on the Biblical teaching that God had created us as individuals and had a very specific plan for our lives. Likewise, we believed, as the Bible says, that God “created all nations of men” (Acts 17:26). We believed that he birthed America for His own purpose of taking the Gospel to the world. Our Founders gained their wisdom from the Bible and thus created the greatest nation in world history. That great work began with them believing that God was both Creator and Ruler of men and nations. George Washington identified this belief when he stated: “It is impossible to account for the creation of the universe, without the agency of a Supreme Being. It is impossible to govern the universe without the aid of a Supreme Being. It is impossible to reason without arriving at a Supreme Being…A reasoning being would lose his reason, in attempting to account for the great phenomena of nature, had he not a Supreme Being to refer to.”
Wonder why man will go to all the time and expense to teach the theory of evolution, when neither the scientific evidence, nor the beliefs of the wisest men in history, support it? Funny isn’t it, how the mind can justify anything it wants to in order to avoid facing our Creator at the great Judgment Day? You know that is the purpose of the lie of evolution. Are you ready for that Day because you have yielded your life to Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? Current Example of Interposition by Don Pinson
May God be praised for one government servant in Maryland! Robin Frazier, a Commissioner in Carroll County, Maryland, has disobeyed a national judge’s anti-Biblical ruling! The judge had ordered that the County Court could no longer open their meetings with prayer in the name of any “specific deity.” That included, of course, the Name of Jesus. Mrs. Frazier made a fervent speech refuting the judge’s ruling and then prayed a prayer attributed to George Washington in which the Name of Jesus is mentioned several times. Good for Mrs. Robin Frazier, one courageous government servant! Mrs. Frazier stated, “I’m willing to go to jail over it. I believe this is a fundamental of America and if we cease to believe that our rights come from God, we cease to be America. We’ve been told to be careful. But we’re going to be careful all the way to communism if we don’t start standing up and saying ‘no.’”
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is one of the best examples of the Biblical principle of interposition that I’ve seen in my lifetime. Here is a duly elected government servant at the local level resisting a disordered national government in the very way the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that all civil government originates with God. In Romans 13:1 it says, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”
Since after the Flood of Noah, God entrusted the administration of civil government to man (Genesis 9:6), no individual has the right to resist disordered law except through another ordered government. But government servants who are walking in the order of God do have that right and responsibility. Of course, if a government servant, such as a policeman, has come onto an individual’s private property in an unlawful manner, God gives that individual the right to resist that disordered policeman. But Commissioner Frazier is simply doing what the Bible teaches – in that ordered government should step in between the people and disordered government! This is exactly what Jehoida, the Priest, in co-operation with the army, did in 2 Kings 11 to remove the wicked queen Athalia (who usurped the crown of Judah); Jehoida and the army restored the throne to Jehoash, the rightful king. (See 2 Kings 11:1-21) This is the same principle on which our Founding Fathers based the Declaration of Independence. When King George III persistently disobeyed the British Constitution, in order to resist him in the Biblical way, our Founders created a new national government. They didn’t resist him as individual “vigilante” groups. The Declaration of Independence stated the king had violated 27 times the Biblical order for government. So our Founders gave as their reason for establishing new government to protect God-given rights of life, liberty, and property, this rationale: “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government…”
Thus states The Declaration of Independence! Shouldn’t government servants across America be resisting our national government like Commissioner Frazier has done? Connecting the Cross and the Constitution by Don Pinson
Why did the Pilgrims come to America with the hope of Jesus Christ ruling, through his followers, their educational, economic, and governmental systems? They came with that hope because they knew that RESURRECTED CHRIST personally! This had come through “…the diligence of some Godly preachers…” by whose preaching “…their ignorance and sins [had been] discovered unto them…” They had repented of their “ignorance and sins” and had received Christ as their Lord and Savior. Thus, the power of the Resurrected Christ flowed in them. But, as they studied the Scripture, they found that this Resurrection life of Christ wanted to flow not only in their personal lives, but through their lives out into their local communities. They didn’t buy satan’s lie that Christianity must stay in the home and the church. Matthew Henry, the great Puritan preacher, revealed their thinking when he wrote this comment concerning Jesus’ command in Matthew 28 to take the Gospel to the entire world. In explaining the meaning of this passage he wrote: “Thirdly, that Christianity should be twisted in with national constitutions, that the kingdoms of the world should become Christ’s kingdoms…”
Thus, it was the most natural thing for America’s Founders to build a civil government out of the principles of the Bible. This is why most of them identified Biblical Christianity as being the foundation of their government. Consider their words: John Quincy Adams, our sixth President, said, “The Bible carries with it the history of the creation, the fall and redemption of man, and discloses to him, in the infant born at Bethlehem, the Legislator and Saviour of the world.”
American law was based on Jesus’ death and resurrection. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, He was alive and could step into a believer and rule through that believer! If a believer would let Jesus rule over selfishness in him, he would then be qualified to let Jesus rule in his civil government through him. This is how, as Matthew Henry said it, “…the kingdoms of the world should become Christ’s kingdoms…” This type of government would protect the Gospel of Christ being taught to the next generation. But while America’s Founders believed that people who lived by the Spirit of Christ would make good government servants, they did not ignore the fact that pride in a government position could easily pull one out from under the Holy Spirit’s control, and thus a ruler could be overcome by selfishness. So they built into our Constitution a series of restraints, by which each department of government would restrain the selfishness in the other departments of governments. By giving elected rulers short terms in office they kept the power of government close to the voting citizens. Thus, the structure of our original national government recognized both the ability of the Resurrection life of Christ to rule through a born-again individual, as well as the possibility of selfishness rising in a ruler who wasn’t submitted to Christ. This Biblical wisdom has preserved the American Republic through much political corruption, especially in more recent years. The influence of the life of Christ on our original Constitution is why Congressman Steven King says, “Without Jesus Christ there never would have been a United States of America.”

Offend Who? by Don Pinson
We hear much today about not offending people. We’re told we shouldn’t have a Christmas display because it might offend someone. We’re told we’re not to mention Jesus’ Name in public prayers because it might offend someone. We’re told we can’t teach Jesus and the Bible to public school children because it might offend someone— whoever “someone” is. In fact, not offending someone is being lifted up to this generation as an idol, at whose feet we worship on this “politically correct” altar. We throw around the term “offend” so much, you’d think someone would define it! Wouldn’t that be a novel idea? Noah Webster, in his original American Dictionary, defined the word “offend” as: “To transgress the moral or divine law; to sin; to commit a crime.”
Thus, the standard for what “offends” is the Bible. If an act or a word disagrees with the Bible, then it is “offensive.” But if an act or a word agrees with the Bible it cannot, by definition, be “offensive!” Someone can “take offense” at the word from the Bible; but if they do take the accusation of satan against what the Bible teaches, they are the one who has lined up on the wrong side! In other words, if an act or a word from the Scripture displeases someone, they are in disagreement with the Bible and they need to repent; they need to change their ways to line up with the Bible. So the whole concept of a society which smothers the public proclamation of the Bible comes from satan; and is disorder before God. Thus, the very use of the word “offence” to describe someone who doesn’t want to hear the Bible is a gross misuse of the word “offend.” The right word to describe that person is the word “sinner,” which means someone who has “missed the mark” which God set for them when He gave them breath. America’s Founders knew that only if one stood with Jesus Christ, could they helped to build a nation of liberty. This is why the Pilgrims told all the men on the Mayflower they either had to sign the Mayflower Compact, which was their constitution which stated their purpose as being, “the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith;” or those men had to go back where they came from. God tells those of us who’ve surrendered these lives to Christ and thus have been born again, that we are to forgive offences against us. Jesus said, “If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.” (Luke 17:3)
Living in forgiveness toward those who wrong us is not only helping the offender to come to Christ as his Lord; it keeps us free from resentment and bitterness which has all kinds of repercussions for our soul and our body! We’re not to “take offense,” no matter what anyone does to us! This is what Jesus said to believers. What He said to unbelievers is even more serious. He said those who offend God, which the Bible describes as being “lost” or separated from God, will be cast into hell at the end of time. Jesus stated, “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:41-42)
To sum it all up: when we talk about offending someone, the real issue is, “Who am I offending — God or man?” Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you — and for your children! What’s Fair about ‘Fairness’? by Don Pinson
This past week, the front page of our local newspaper reported that a so-called “fairness ordinance” was being debated by our city council. This has been happening more and more since our U.S. Supreme Court took the side of the homosexuals in a ruling last summer. Now the debate has come to our small mountain town. What is a “fairness” ordinance anyway? Those who support homosexuality say it is a local ordinance for the purpose of protecting homosexuals from job discrimination, discrimination in government housing, and other tax-funded programs. They mask their purpose by trying to pull other groups (such as minority groups) under the “umbrella” of the ordinance. But when it all shakes down, it results in the homosexual agenda taking more of the rights of other citizens, like those better qualified for a particular job, or an employer who has invested all the “blood, sweat, and tears” to build his business. So-called “fairness” ordinances take away the religious liberty of a church organization by forcing them to hire a homosexual when homosexuality is against the very Bible which that organization exists to teach. What’s “fair” about that?! If so called “fairness” ordinances are allowed to exist at all, they will eventually destroy every liberty which makes life the best it can be on earth. But the greatest wrong in any so-called “fairness” ordinance, is that it exists because someone wants to live outside the moral boundaries God reveals in the Bible. No honest student of the Bible denies that the Bible condemns homosexuality. It states in the New Testament in Romans 1: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:26-27, 32)
The Bible further warns of judgment on homosexuality in Jude, verse 7, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah…giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, liberty cannot exist in a society which throws away morality (what our Founders called “virtue”); because only if we control ourselves from within can the rights of others be protected. It is impossible to have both liberty and loose living! Only morality, as defined by the Ten Commandments, can maintain liberty in a society. John Withersthingy, President of Princeton College, and Signer of The Declaration of Independence, stated, “A Republic must either preserve its virtue or lose its liberty…”
Samuel Adams, Father of our American Revolution which secured our liberty, wrote, “Revelation assures us that ‘Righteousness exalteth a nation.’ Communities are dealt with in this world by the wise and just Ruler of the Universe. He rewards or punishes them according to their general character…public liberty will not long survive the total extinction of morals.”
So, is Jesus’ way the truth? Or is the mind of man the truth? Which is the real standard? Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you — and for your children! “Fairness Ordinances” are not about fairness; but about eliminating the Gospel from being proclaimed in public by Don Pinson
So called “fairness ordinances” are being pushed all over our land. While these are hidden under a guise of being about civil rights, in reality they are a part of the homosexual agenda to rule this land. The aim is to control the teaching of the Bible since that is the major hindrance to homosexual’s lifestyle being protected by law. Some of them don’t know that the removal of Scriptural truth is the actual aim of the movement; but the leaders of the movement know that very well. The leaders of the movement understand the teaching of their ideas and the teaching of the Bible cannot dwell together in the same society. They know they must gain our children’s minds so that our children will approve their disordered lifestyles — and vote to establish, by law, their disorder. To do that, they must eliminate the Bible from the channels which teach their lifestyle — that is, the tax-supported education system, movies, pop music, and other media means. The battleground, as it’s ever been for satan and his ideas, is the mind of the next generation. So why do they hate the Bible so much? That becomes obvious if you read the passages about homosexuality. Listen to the Apostle Paul as he teaches God’s view of homosexuality. I quote at length from Romans, Chapter 1: “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God…but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools…Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever…For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was right… Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:19-32)
Now is it clear why the leaders of the homosexual movement want to stamp out all Biblical teaching about their disordered lifestyle? It should be. And to be sure, God doesn’t hate the people trapped in homosexuality; but he does hate homosexuality itself, because it stops His purpose of “populating the earth.” (Genesis 9:1) We must understand that the war in local governments over so-called “fairness ordinances” is not about fairness. It is about eliminating the Gospel from being proclaimed in public; thus, hindering people from becoming vessels of God’s life (Genesis 1:26). If a government ordinance can tell you who you have to hire, what’s to keep government from telling the church which Pastor they have to hire, based on what that Pastor believes about homosexuality. Is that, quote, “fairness”? Or is it dictatorial government eliminating the freedom of speech and religion? Memorial Day was set aside for the purpose of remembering the servicemen who’ve laid down their lives to protect our liberties by Don Pinson
One of the public schools in our region has announced they will be going to school on Memorial Day, due do the large number of days which were missed due to snow this past winter. Yet that same school system let out for the state basketball tournament in March. What does this tell us about what’s important to us? A pastor recently said to me with a twinkle in his eye: “Our children’s attendance will be down now that BA’AL—I mean, ball—season has started.” I’m concerned that there may be more truth than fiction to that statement! It’s very telling how we constantly extol the virtues of education on the floor of our State Legislature, but so quickly do away with important historical holidays in that education system. A number of years ago the individual birthdays of Washington and Lincoln got lumped into a single day under the vague term of “President’s Day”, as if these men’s lives weren’t important enough to stand alone and be celebrated individually. You could get the idea any President was as important as Washington, the very Father of our country; or as important as Lincoln, the Liberator of the slaves. This is what disturbs me so much about a school system refusing to recognize such an important historical holiday as Memorial Day by not dismissing school that day. Memorial Day was set aside for the purpose of remembering the servicemen who’ve laid down their lives to protect our liberties. Two women, during the War Between the States, began to decorate the graves of fallen heroes of that war—both North and South. They did this as a grateful expression for the soldiers’ sacrifice to preserve liberty. The idea caught on all across the nation and, until recent years, when Mr. Obama has had nothing to say concerning the virtues of our Founders, Presidents would generally address the nation and help us remember the great sacrifice it has taken to preserve our liberty. It’s a sad day when we won’t teach our American history to our children. All that has to happen for a dictator to rise to the White House is for one generation to completely forget the principles of liberty established and taught by our Founders; and the sacrifice of past generations to preserve that liberty. The Bible teaches that we are to remember our history. God says in Deuteronomy 32:7, “Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.”
God wants us to remember our history because it reveals His Hand at work in our lives; from generations past until now. It links us with our original purpose in what was once, the land of liberty. This is a standard by which to judge where we now are. Can you imagine a carpenter building a house not using a plumb line or a level, so as to create a standard to go back to in order to know if what he’s now doing is staying on track with the original plan for the house? Daniel Webster, one of the greatest statesmen America has ever known, pled with us not to lose our connection with our Founders; he passionately spoke to future generations when he wrote, “By ascending to an association with our ancestors; by contemplating their example and studying their character…by accompanying them in their toils, by sympathizing in their sufferings, and rejoicing in their successes; we seem to belong to their age, and to mingle our own existence with theirs…”
Are we on track with the Pilgrim Vision of taking the Gospel of Christ to the next generation? Are you on track with that vision? Who or What is God in your life!! Eliminate Christian teaching from the next generation and they cannot maintain the law and order by Don Pinson
Recently two more states, Arkansas and Idaho, have had their Marriage Amendments “declared” unconstitutional by the courts. The dismantling of our Republic by a few judges continues. Our Founders never intended such; and Thomas Jefferson warned us what would happen if the national courts were ever allowed to rule on cases not specifically delegated to them in Article III of the Constitution. He stated, “The germ of dissolution of our federal government is in…the federal judiciary; an irresponsible body…working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little to-morrow…until all shall be usurped from the States.”
But the greatest enemy to our nation is not the national courts, though they are puppets being used in this drama. The greatest enemy is US! Our own desertion of the principles of morality taught in the Bible is our root of destruction. George Washington warned us that there is no liberty without a strong foundation of Biblical morality. He stated: “And let us with caution indulge the [idea], that morality can be maintained without religion…reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
“…morality is a necessary spring of popular government…Who, that is a sincere friend to [free government], can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the [moral] fabric…?”
In other words, if you eliminate Christian teaching from the next generation, they will be immoral! And if they are immoral, they cannot maintain the law and order necessary to sustain a free government. Thus, Washington was warning of the slavery to a dictator which would result from an immoral lifestyle. Thus, we are our own worst enemy. When we will watch movies that show homosexuality and adultery, we partner with satan in the destruction of our liberty. When we listen to music that promotes homosexuality and adultery, we are receiving ideas into our mind which will destroy our liberty. When we read novels, or look at pictures that describe adulterous or homosexual acts, we are destroying our own liberty—both personally and as a nation. God gives us His standard of morality in the Bible. Only the Bible can define what morality is. God says, concerning sex between a man and a woman who are not married: “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Exodus 20:14
In the New Testament, he pronounces judgment on homosexuality, saying: “…as Sodom and Gomorrah…giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Jude 1:7
[/b] So when we do such acts, or push for governments to protect such acts through what is called “hate-crimes” laws, or “fairness” ordinances, we are setting ourselves against the morality of Jesus Christ and are working our own destruction. So does God hate people who get trapped in adultery, or homosexuality? Absolutely not! He hates their acts of immorality, just like He hates any other act of rebellion against Him. But He loves the person who is trapped. He wants to free them by bringing them to Christ, if they will allow Him to. That’s why He calls them to repentance. That’s why Jesus started his ministry by preaching, “…repent ye, and believe the Gospel.” Mark 1:15

Raising the Standard for Children by Don Pinson
The conversation of a Ugandan boy of 11 with an 11-year-old from the U.S. puts childhood into proper perspective. The Ugandan boy, an orphan, has been touched by the powerful revival which has been happening in his country for several years now. After meeting the young boy from the U.S., the Ugandan child asked him, “What are you going to do in life?” This was not a question of childhood play. He was completely serious. The other child was amazed and asked how was he supposed to know what he would do in life — he was only a child! The boy from Uganda replied, “You’re eleven years old and you don’t yet know what you’re supposed to be in life?!” He really was amazed. You see the Ugandan child has been under the influence of a move of God’s Spirit in his nation that has had a profound impact on his country. Unlike the boy from the West, he has been taught that life is not about him and his pleasure; but rather it’s about the plan of God for him. He’s planning and is now taking steps to become what God has created him to be. Before you dismiss this as just a child’s aspirations, or perhaps as the result of over-zealous parents and teachers who have “crammed” the Bible down his throat, you better consider history. It is a fact of history recorded in the Bible that God wants children to know His plan for their life; and to prepare early for that plan. God used the child Samuel to minister to the priest Eli. His mother had left him with Eli as soon as he was weaned. He grew up knowing he was to minister to the nation of Israel as a prophet and a priest. He even – while still a child – delivered strong prophetic messages. (1 Samuel 3:1-21) David was but a boy, perhaps only ten years of age or so, when he went into the fields to watch his father’s sheep. He would face both a lion and a bear during that time, and would kill them both! He learned, as a child, to trust God completely. (1 Samuel 17:32-37) Daniel and his friends were probably young teenagers when they were carried off to Babylon, and then picked to be trained for the king’s service. They would courageously refuse the king’s commands that disagreed with the Scripture, and would change the course of a nation because of their boldness when young. (Daniel 1:1-21 & 3:1-30) Because of the Biblical understanding of early Americans, their children accepted responsibility much earlier in life that our children now. Our sixth President, John Quincy Adams, at age 14 was ambassador to Catherine the Great, the queen of Russia in the late 1700s. Fisher Ames, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, entered Harvard when he was twelve. And that was when you had to be able to read Latin, Hebrew, and Greek to get into Harvard! Another Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Rush, would later be the Surgeon General for George Washington’s Continental Army. He graduated from Princeton at age 14! Likewise, Daniel Boone, as a 10-year-old boy in the 1740s, went 10 miles from home and stayed with his father’s cattle on an additional farm his father owned. He would be mostly alone during this time, but God used it to prepare him to be the primary woodsman that would open the way to America’s western wilderness. Are we preparing our children to be used by God, depending on Him alone to be their Source? Or are we preparing them to live for themselves, which will lead them to depend on government to be their source. Interposition: The Reason for Our Liberty by Don Pinson
Was the American Revolution a rebellion, as it’s often called nowadays? Were George Washington, Samuel Adams, and Thomas Jefferson just rebels wanting to overthrow the authority of the English Crown in the American colonies? Or were they re-establishing Godly authority by declaring “these colonies are, and of right, ought to be free and independent states?” Why is the Declaration of Independence almost never referred to in our courts today? Actually the understanding of one simple principle, which our Founders understood, would answer all these questions. It is the principle of interposition. You may be asking, “What on earth does interposition mean?” I’m glad you asked. Noah Webster, in his first American Dictionary, defined interposition as being the act of “…placing or coming between; intervention.” Then he added this comment to illustrate what he meant: “The interposition of the moon between the earth and the sun occasions a solar eclipse.” So how does the principle of interposition work in government? All governmental (civil) authority flows out of God, as Romans 13:1 says, “…the powers that be are ordained of God.” Government rulers have authority only because God has allowed them that authority. God first deposits this governmental authority in the people at large. The people, by their choice (or election), delegate to certain individuals the right to exercise certain powers over them so that bad individuals may be controlled, and kept from taking away the rights of good people. Thus, you have a flow of authority from the throne of God to the common people of a nation, who then entrust certain specific powers to government servants for the purpose of maintaining order in a society. This is the governmental system which God gave to the Jews, through Moses, as recorded in Deuteronomy 1:13-15. However, when any government ruler steps out from under the flow of God-given authority and takes to himself more authority than the people have granted him, then the principle of interposition is needed to correct his unlawful actions. In other words, someone is needed to step in between the unlawful government servant and the people; someone who will operate only in God-ordered authority. Esther is a good Biblical example of this principle of interposition. When Haman, the wicked servant of King Xerxes, deceived the King into allowing him to destroy all the Jews; Esther, the queen, appealed to the King to stop Haman’s actions. Her interposition saved the Jewish nation. America’s Founders were doing the same thing. King George III had stepped out from the flow of God’s authority and had misused his authority as God’s government servant. He actually cancelled all the governments in the colonies of America so that, in reality, we had no say in what laws were forced onto us. Because of this, our Founders appealed to the rightful colonial government servants to interposition themselves between the King and the American people. After every appeal to the King had gone unheeded, the people’s Representatives finally, on July 2, 1776, voted to establish their own national government directly under God’s authority. This was done by writing and approving our Declaration of Independence. Do we not, once again, need for our local and state governments to interposition themselves between the people and the current disordered national government? Is interposition needed again in America? by Don Pinson
Interposition – what on earth does that mean? Noah Webster, in his original American dictionary defined it as, “being, placing or coming between; intervention.” In geography, it is illustrated by the way Kentucky lies between (or, you might say, interposed between) Tennessee and Ohio. In government it is one governmental power, such as Kentucky’s state government, intervening between the national government and the people to keep the national government from forcing its will on Kentucky people. You might ask, “Is this the right thing to do?” What is Interposition? - Actually the idea of interposition comes from the Bible. Jesus stepped in between God and sinful man to pay our debt to God of one perfect life we had stolen in the Garden of Eden and used for ourselves. Jesus, by offering up His perfect life to pay the debt we owed, interposed His life between us and God. He stepped in between God and man to turn away the judgment of God on man. As the Bible says, “For Christ has also once suffered for sin, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” (1 Peter 3:18)
Jesus did this because it’s a law with God that every debt must be paid. Jesus legally paid our debt so God could legally accept us just as if we had never sinned against Him. This is the principle of interposition. This is exactly what our Founding Fathers did in the governmental realm when they revolted against England and established our Republic in July of 1776. The document they wrote to explain their actions, The Declaration of Independence, sets forth this principle of interposition. In explaining how the King of England had stepped out from under the flow of Godly authority (and therefore was stealing the rights of the people which come with the flow of God’s authority) the Declaration stated America’s intent to restore these rights by restoring Godly government to these states. The Declaration of Independence stated: “…We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness… That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government…”
The Continental Congress, which had been duly elected by the people (with whom lies all government authority), was their government stepping in between them and the King of England and appealing to him to return to his rightful position in God’s order of government. When the King repeatedly refused, our forefathers were finally forced to defend their rights with armed resistance. Armed resistance is always the last form of interposition. Is interposition needed again in America? It most certainly is! With the national government (led by the current White House) more and more forcing its will on the citizens of the states, we must have our states interpose themselves between us and this tyrannical government in Washington. Indeed, a number of states have already passed resolutions declaring that Washington must not impose its will on their people. We’re beginning to wake up and realize that the socialism being pushed by this present national government is not Biblical and is in disagreement with America’s Founding principles. Shouldn’t you learn about the principle of interposition and be teaching it to your children and grandchildren; and also your friends and neighbors? Think about it; because if you don’t, someone else will do your thinking for you — and for your children! And you won’t like what that brings to you. Our Freedom Document by Don Pinson
The Bible says, “Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)
Ladies and Gentlemen: The following document is the reason you and I, in America, are free: “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitles them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world …”
(They then listed 27 violations of God's laws for government which the King had violated.)
“… In every stage of these Suppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
“Nor have We been wanting in attention to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore,…hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
“WE, THEREFORE, the Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be FREE AND INDEPENDENT STATES…and that…they have full Power…to do all…Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”

Think About It by Don Pinson
“Why Submit to Islam?” January 7th was the deadly shooting in the Charlie Hebdo newspaper office in Paris. On January 11th over a million people gathered in Paris to protest the Muslim philosophy that those who refuse to bow to allah must be killed. Heads of state from a number of countries marched alongside the French President, including Israel’s and Germany’s leaders. However, Mr. Obama was not there. Neither did he send the Vice-President or even Secretary of State, Kerry. This is a huge dishonor to those who have been our allies and suffered a terrible tragedy at the hands of Muslims who intend to live out the Koran. Why does this man refuse to acknowledge that terrorism is almost always tied to the Muslim religion? While he has steadfastly refused to acknowledge the importance of Biblical Christianity to our nation’s liberty, he has, at the same time, worked to cast in the very best light the Muslim faith.
